Our Fees
We strive to make the process of booking an assessment or consultation with one of our psychiatrists as simple and as easy as possible.
Making a Booking
If you are getting in touch with us for the first time, our friendly, helpful and experienced team of practice managers will take the time to listen to you and evaluate your concerns. They understand how daunting it can be to make an appointment with a psychiatrist if you or your loved one have never seen one before. They’ll be able to help you find a psychiatrist with the right experience, skill set, approach and personality to suit your needs.
If you or your loved one are currently experiencing a crisis, our practice management team will also be able to liaise with the available psychiatrists to accommodate short-notice or urgent consultations. We understand that mental health difficulties cannot be planned, and seldom fit into a schedule, so wherever possible we’ll try to find an out-of-hours (late evening or weekend) appointment for you when you most need it.
Our Fees
There are two things that determine what an appointment costs. Every clinician sets their own fees, which vary with their specialty and their experience, and the fee depends on how long the appointment is. We offer appointments from 20 minutes to around 2 hours, so a short follow-up and a full initial assessment are priced very differently.
Because of that, the figures below are the starting points rather than a single price list. Each clinician’s own fees are set out on their profile, so you can see exactly what your appointment will cost before you book: see all our clinicians and their fees.
Psychiatrists
Fees start from £580 for a 1-hour consultation. An initial appointment with a psychiatrist is usually the longest one you will have, because it covers a full assessment, your history and a diagnosis where appropriate, and it ends with a treatment plan. Follow-up appointments are shorter and cost less. Fees differ between our psychiatrists depending on their sub-specialty — child and adolescent, neuropsychiatry, perinatal and medico-legal work are all priced individually.
Therapists and psychologists
Fees start from £180 for a 1-hour consultation. Therapy and psychological work is usually a course of regular sessions of the same length rather than a long first appointment followed by shorter ones, so the fee per session tends to stay the same throughout. Fees differ between our psychologists and therapists depending on their training and the type of therapy they offer.
If you are not sure who to see, or you would like help comparing fees, our practice management team will talk it through with you before you commit to anything.
